HELP - Advice please I have high blood pressure. Elevated urate levels

Hi

Please help as I am beside myself with worry. Since week 34 my blood pressure high been elevated and at 36 weeks my urate levels were high.
I stayed in hospital overnight on Tuesday for monitoring and my urate levels continued to increase in my blood. But they sent me home. Has this happened to anyone else?

The reason I am so nervous is my lack of trust in my NHS service as yesterday they gave me another patients plan of care and no one because the doctors had mixed up the bed numbers.

Hi Babybratt

Have they said what may be causing the high blood pressure? Do you have any other symptoms?

Sure if they have let you go home you are fine and don't want to worry you but I had
high BP and +++++protein in my urine and I had severe pre-eclampsia/HELLP. Have they done any tests to rule this out?

How are you getting on Babybratt? I'm not sure about the urate levels but it is possible to be sent home with elevated blood pressure if the doctors are happy with everything else. It's very important thought that you have some follow up care and are aware of the symptoms of pre-eclampsia - very much hope the hospital has told you this but if not symptoms are headaches, sudden swelling especially in the hands, feet and face, visual disturbances and pain under the ribs. If you experience any of these you should get yourself to a doctor ASAP.

Hope everything is going well now - like Rascal said did they diagnose anything?
