Tbh didnt think id be writing a pregnancy post on here again as i already have two children and am defiantly not trying for another as things are already hard work.

Basically i have irregular cycles and im just confused. Normally come on around day 36 of my cycle and its only day 28 but randomly felt the need to do a test the other day and could have sworn i saw a faint line (it was one of the cheap strip ones) i used these both times i was preggy before and they detected it early.
So today i got some clear blue ones which is the photo ive attached, the one with the clearly visible line came up within 5 mins so i panicked and then took another a few hours later which i think i can still see a very very faint line.

I think so too! I think that means it’s a third baby! This happened to me too…. As I type this I am feeding my 4 month old third child who was very much a surprise.. and not a happy one initially! But she is the biggest blessing I could have wished for now she is here. Sending you lots of love xxx

I think that line looks too thin and off centre, and I'd be thinking it's false. I'd personally be trying another brand

YouveGotAFastCar · 23/08/2024 18:07

The first one is invalid, the line isn’t in the right place.

Given you’ve had a second one too, you’d have to say it’s either detecting something or a bad batch, but I’d want a confirmation test that came up within the time limit and wasn’t invalid to feel sure.

HallidayJones6779 · 23/08/2024 18:08

Oh my life… that is exactly the same for us too!!!! I totally understand how you are feeling! Mine are 6, 2 and 4 months old. How old are yours? I was totally happy with two children and felt sick when I realised I was pregnant as I also wasn’t sure I’d cope! I’d been back at work only 3 months too and I was embarrassed to tell them I’d be off again. I was so sure I didn’t want this baby that I made an appointment with an abortion clinic… but I couldn’t go through with it and cancelled it only a few hours after booking it.

Honestly, she is the best thing to have happened to my family. It’s so wonderful watching her with my other two; she was meant to be here with us. It’s hard work - definitely- but I wouldn’t have it any other way now. It’s the polar opposite of how I felt when I first found out.

i only say this so that you don’t feel alone in how you feel now if it does turn out to be positive xxx

Olika · 23/08/2024 18:23

The line is very thin so I would think it's evap.

Adamsapple89 · 23/08/2024 18:26

I also think evap line. Get a digital to be sure

LLLTB · 23/08/2024 18:59

Ive read about evaps but i have had very very faint lines on other early strip test and on this second one there is a very faint line. The one with the thin line came up straight away so didn't think it could be a evap line as it was wet with wee, also the thin line one does have the same thickness but its just very very faint i think. Ill go get some more later.

@HallidayJones6779 my girls are almost 6 and 3 years. My eldest is hard work and the sibling arguments between them are at their peak it drives me insane.

i do lots of refereeing with my 6 yo who is very heavy handed with my 2yo… but they both adore the littlest one… it’s brought them together in a way… temporarily haha xxx

it would be very unusual for it to be an evap line on so many tests and usually that’s after 30+ minutes when the test has dried.

LLLTB · 23/08/2024 19:21

@HallidayJones6779 my girls are baby mad adore any tiny baby they see so i know they would be amazing either way im just dont think i would cope that well, i have adhd pretty burnout most of the time already 😅

Yeah i knew there would be lots of suggestions that its an evap line but I've took many tests before when I've been late etc. having a irregular cycle i just like to make sure but Ive never seen an evap line on any of those before. Im going out of my mind just want to know either way, or if my eyes are playing tricks on me

if he hasn’t “you know” in you then you can’t be pregnant?

LLLTB · 23/08/2024 22:23

@Henbags it does happen tho we dont use protection but i have only ever got pregnant when it had * in me but saying that he pulled out to finish and then we carried on afterwards and that was about two ish weeks ago so theres a chance. My ovulation is normally alot later in my cycle, it could have decided to change i suppose. I normally avoid intimacy during ovulation times.

Update
So got some pink strip tests today and did loads with morning wee and some others later on too. Now i think they are pretty much negative apart from the bottom two but im sure i can see something on the very bottom one where the arrow is.
I might be going mad from staring at lines 😂
I have also randomly started cramps like mad but my cycle has been 37 days long for the last 3 months and im only on day 28 atm. And my boobs are really sore which again makes me think af is coming early maybe
