Hey, so I had my "peak" on the 16th, and still get "high" readings on my LH strip tests? Is this normal??

Have you got the chart?

Yes x

I think it's possibly because on a few of the later ones the dye hasn't finished moving through the test strip so the app is reading it at a higher level maybe. Your peak is a lovely clear test though with no dye bleed so that's probably accurate x

Yes they all came out actually so dark, I was just in a rush to take pictures of the tests 😂 plus my camera isn't the best, so they don't look as dark via the camera x

Have you done a pregnancy test? This is the other possibility - that you were already pregnant and the LH test is picking up HCG as it's a similar molecule x

Weird. Have you been drinking plenty of water? If you're dehydrated it will affect how your tests appear too x

Just done another one.... and it's still pretty high? Maybe the app I'm using is wrong? Telling me I was my peak Friday when I wasn't??

That does look quite strong...have you got other month's of tracking to compare this month to? It's not darker than the control line though unlike your peak

Springadorable · 22/08/2024 12:14

Also looks like this test might have dried out a bit? Or is it edited?

No it's not edited, it's just cropped to see it closer, and yeah it's still pretty dark. And no unfortunately I've only just started tracking it on this app, but other months havnt been this strong for DAYS... x

Hi OP, your LH levels rise in preparation for ovulation but sometimes your egg isn’t released so your body will increase LH levels again a bit later in your cycle to try again. Maybe the first peak was a failed ovulation and your body is trying again? How many days is your cycle? You could also try tracking your basal body temperature (BBT) as this will rise after ovulation has occurred. This helps you see the start of attempted ovulation (LH peak) and end of ovulation (sustained rise in BBT).
