Can you get pregnant 5 days before ovulation? Right after your period?

Hi!
Gonna ask a dumb question so please spare me LOL. My period ended about a week ago and my husband and I did the deed that Saturday. So, I was about 5 days before ovulation, cycle day 7. He says he may have not pulled out all of the way before leaving.. some.. in me. SO FREAKIN SORRY for the TMI LOL but I definitely felt some sort of warmth in there as well. Not entirely sure it just felt very different from when he usually pulls out LOL. Therefore, just curious if anyone else has gotten pregnant like that 5 days before ovulation. I know when I ovulate and sometimes it's sooner than that. I'm about to start ovulating, I can tell lol. If not, what are my chances of getting pregnant from this? Very well aware of what can happen with unprotected sex lol so don't need that spill. We would not be disappointed either way. :)

Yes it’s possible! I got pg last month 4/5 days before ovulation

Boredshitless1 · 21/08/2024 19:55

Yes and he is now 29!

Only 2% of sperm (if that) can live five days. So, it’s unlikely, but not impossible.

Yes and he's eighteen now ;)
I was surprised at the time.

Sperm can remain alive for 5 days, so if you ovulate in that window you can get pregnant. It is unlikely, but not impossible!

Yep, this is how I got pregnant recently and I’m 41 🙈 I’m now 6 weeks pg and it was a happy surprise but I distinctly remember saying “nooo it’s fine it’s like 5/6 days til ovulation there’s no way, and not at our age”
oops 😁

Interesting that two of you had boys.
They say the Y sperm is faster but lives shorter than the X ones. If that is true, statiscally, you would have more girls concieved this way than boys. I bet you you your children have good survival skills. 😀

I also had a short cycle. It used to be 24-26 days so I'd say I used to ovulate early.

Ds is a very handy fellow. Better than the girls for feeding himself 😅

Yes you can! How I ended up with our 1 & only daughter 🤣 we had sex only once that month & it was 4 days before I ovulated!

you can do, it seems fairly unlikely. Especially as not that many people actually ovulate on day 14 of their cycle.
