Nub Theory 12 week scan - can anyone help?

I had my 12 week scan today and I have been convinced my entire pregnancy so far that I’m having a girl. But looking over these pics and comparing to the nub theory examples I’m pretty sure it’s a boy. I’ve also circled what I thought might be boy parts but this is my first so I’m so new to this I have no idea 😩🤣

Can any expert mamas help me out?? 🤞🏻

Hmm I'm definitely not an expert but obsessed over my 12w scan pictures!

Could be a nub but seems to be at a slightly strange angle to where the little feet and legs are for it to be a nub. We looked it up and apparently both boys and girls have the same nub at this early stage but girls tend to lie at 30 degrees or less (to horizontal) and boys 30 degrees or more ...?

I know how you feel though! I've been convinced mine is a boy and thought I saw something nub-like at our 12w. We had a reassurance one yesterday after some abdominal pain (all fine) and the sonographer seemed tempted to say her thoughts on gender when DH asked her but she didn't want to before 15 weeks. Do you think you'll try and find out privately or wait for 20 week scan?

See I thought it was in a bit of a different position that all the nub theories I could see online but wanted to check if anyone noticed a similar thing with their LO then it turned out to be a boy. This scan was private my NHS 12 week is on Tuesday which will actually be 13 weeks so I’ll be looking extra close to see if I can see. But either way I’ll get a private scan at 16 weeks to find out. I’m far too impatient haha! How far along are you? Are you going to find out before 20 weeks?xx

Oh exciting, keep us updated!

Yes we definitely want to find out before the 20 week scan though I think I'll take whatever they say with a pinch of salt, I've heard a few stories about people being told one gender and then later on either being told different at a later scan of even finding out at birth that the baby is the other gender! I'm so sure ours is a boy though.

I'm 15 weeks currently, 16 in a few days' time! I want to wait a bit before a private scan though because we had our last private scan at just shy of 14 weeks after I had some abdominal pain, it was 6 days after the 12w scan and the sonographer said not to go too often as it wasn't good for the baby. So I'm thinking maybe 17 weeks would be a good time, then it gives us a few weeks' break before the 20 week scan. I'm actually more excited just to get to see the baby again than hearing the gender! Good luck for your next scan 🤗
