Hi all, looking for positive stories as when I search for long early labours I've not found anything like my experience so far.
My first contraction was last Friday, then since last Saturday I've had regular periods of between 2-24 hours where they've been at least every few minutes, lasting a minute long. I've seen the midwives a few times now, each time they've thought things were establishing because of the frequency and timing, but on examination I've still been in the early/latent phase. Things are changing as my cervix is now nearly completely thinned compared to the first exam, but I'm still just under 2cm and no clue when it'll progress. I'm just 40+3 still and before this all started felt completely ok about going over my due date, but after over a week now of early labour I'm finding it quite hard, but really want to stay positive.
I had a sweep yesterday and since then have had regular contractions again and a lot of period like cramps, barely slept all night because of them, but I'm finding it hard not keeping getting my hopes up each time things seem like they're starting.
Would really appreciate any positive stories of similar experiences, I'm getting so tired but trying to rest and relax as much as possible. I've been offered a review for induction because of the length of this but I want to keep going and try to be patient.
