Has anyone taken progesterone & had a successful pregnancy?

Hi everyone I’m new here and we’ve been trying for baby number two. My first pregnancy was pretty normal but after I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks and now pregnant again around 6 weeks. I had light spotting and went to the early pregnancy unit, due to me having one previous miscarriage they suggested progesterone suppositories twice daily. I guess what I’d like to know is whether anyone had the same as me; early bleeding and prescribed progesterone and had a successful pregnancy? The waiting game is really affecting me not knowing whether or this pregnancy will end in a miscarriage or not.

Had one success with it and two unsuccessful times, so I’m not really sure if it helped or not! I completely sympathise, it’s such a horrible position to be in.

@Shibr thanks for sharing and sorry for your losses. Did the progesterone slow down or stop your bleeding with the unsuccessful pregnancies?

Me! Missed miscarriage at 9 weeks that included spotting most of the way through. Light bleeding and spotting in subsequent pregnancy, prescribed progesterone from 6-16 weeks and DS is nearly 18 months old now 😊best of luck OP, it’s an unbelievably anxious time, but one miscarriage doesn’t necessarily mean another 🤞🏼

@nayaa2024 no problem at all, I used to just focus on the fact that I was pregnant until a scan/ doctor told me otherwise 🤞🏼♥️

Yeah I guess that’s all we can do right? The dreaded waiting game for the next scan though 😣 🩷

Hi @nayaa2024 found this thread whilst researching progesterone as well. Recently had a MMC and it was my first pregnancy. How are you getting on? Hoping for the best for you 🌈🤍
