Gone into this pregnancy about 20lbs heavier than my last one and now just tipping into the obese BMI range.

My first pregnancy was four years ago and I feel a bit embarrassed I didn't manage to get my weight under control in all that time before having another baby.

I'm only 7 weeks but already bloated and sluggish and just feel so depressed about seeing more chins and stretch marks appear.

I'm not going to diet obviously but I am making a concerted effort to eat well and be active (especially as no nausea... Yet).

Does anyone have any hints for staying healthy, and also just trying not to feel shit about yourself as your body starts to expand again? I'm already looking at post natal workout plans 🙈

I ate when I wanted to but stick to healthy food. I swam and did Pilates and walked (slowly).

I totally sympathise! I’m 8 weeks and I’m one stone heavier this pregnancy, I’m actually in the obese range now and a size 16. I’m just trying to eat a few more healthier meals and light walking / swimming. I found this stage hard last pregnancy where there’s barely a bump and I just felt bloated. I’ve treated myself to some new clothes with elasticated waists and stretchy fabric to feel a bit better too.
