Hi there... Am 34 and just got my BFP. Due 20th Dec (fingers crossed!) Have been reading threads since TTC but since I work days - can only get to pc in the evenings - and then I have missed loads! Anybody out there in the same boat to keep me company? Feel like such a novice at this - would love to chat to other newbies...

I am 30 weeks at the mo, work full time in a baking hot office & have to get 2 buses to work as don't drive. Really grating on me now especially when exhausted at end of the day and still have to face commute. Usually a right wreck when get home to DH! Counting down the days to maternity leave. Nobody told me how tiring pregnancy is until I GOT pregnant lol!

HiPurple You really are on the ball. My manager's wife went on mat leave on Friday, so now i am the most pg lady in the office! PG has been very easy and straightforward (fingers crossed) since I stopped throwing up, but I was very weak after 6 weeks in bed - have been doing lots of walking and swimming to get strength back.

7 weeks for me to go now. Have started NCT classes. 4 more weeks at work, not many clothes fit anymore!

PS to last past Purple - I 've been married for 8 years, but only just changed my name. I wanted to have the same surname as my baby, and it was never, ever negotiable that it wouldn't be DH's!

Hi Biker... So glad that the latter stages of your PG have been good to you! You working right up to 3 weeks before? Wow! What do you do? I'm now 7 weeks & counting down till I can finish - am just so knackered already! Am waiting for that 'energised' phase to start!

Hi Purple I'ma civil engineer - design and buld things, but when I came backto work we did a risk assessment adn I am not allowed on site, so I have been gently office based for the last few weeks. My line manager's wife is a month more pg than me, so he is really into this whole pg lark. Drive to work is pretty easy and, bizarrely, I just gto a company car - big, confy and air conditioned. I'm sure I'll be fien for the next few weeks.

Biker - wow - your boss sounds so cool! Mine is an arse! Bless him - no clue... I work in a 'secure environment' & the only thing I'm not to do is run to (like I could anyway! ) to an emergency response carrying an enormous emergency bag, oxygen cylinder & de-fib machine! Everything else is carry on as normal... Hmmm - air-conditioning!!! !!! I do hope all goes well for you & these last few weeks pass peacefully for you... Are you all set to go?
