I’m 9+2 today. I’ve had two previous miscarriages and currently taking progesterone.
i haven’t many pregnancy symptoms at all. I’m exhausted, slightly sore nipples on and off and weeing at least twice a night but that’s it! Should I be feeling more than this?
I have read online progesterone has the potential to cover up a miscarriage or stop your body miscarrying and I’m terrified I’m having a missed miscarriage.
any advice or experiences would be appreciated.
thank you in advance.

I was exactly the same as you on progresterone and I have never really had any more pregnancy symptoms.

I was worrying about missed miscarriage all the way until now (18 weeks), but sadly only a scan tell you if it is happened or not and the presence or absence of symptoms doesn't mean anything.

Try enjoying that you can eat, and distract yourself as much as you can. I know it is difficult, I worried a lot too.

I’m 8w+2 and am on progesterone for this ivf pregnancy. I had a mmc last year on progesterone and didn’t know it had happened until we went to the 6 week scan. I too am so worried all the time I’ve miscarried and the progesterone is holding it in.
the difference is, about 5 days before I went to the scan last year I knew something wasn’t right because all my symptoms went. There wasn’t many but my boobs felt normal again and I just knew in my head it wasn’t going to be good.

this time round I’ve felt very slight symptoms from 6 weeks. Mild nausea & sore nipples mainly but I have lots of energy and feel totally normal. Could you get a scan to reassure you? I think if you’re feeling symptoms, even if they’re super mild, that’s positive. But also no symptoms is normal too. I’ve got another scan at 9 weeks to reassure me because I have really mild symptoms and just don’t feel pregnant xx

@Lauren1999 You're exhausted, you have sore nipples on and off and you're peeing twice a night - those are all big symptoms of an ongoing pregnancy.

I've had two losses, so I know the anxiety well when you're pregnant again and don't seem to be having the same issues everyone talks about from day dot like the sickness.

My only symptoms until 9 weeks were the occasional need for a nap and horrific bloating. As soon as I hit 10 weeks, I started throwing up every morning. The rest of the day I feel absolutely fine. I get up once or twice a night to pee and occasionally still feel a bit full/bloated, but my symptoms have been very mild compared to many. Every pregnancy is different and it's so hard when the answer is we have to just wait and see.

But it sounds to me you're having a completely normal early pregnancy! :)

I had a scan at 7 weeks from the EPU and showed a heartbeat and everything looked as it should. I felt a lot better but then I read online some women saying progesterone can cover up a miscarriage and it’s sent me into complete panic mode. I have a private scan booked for Saturday. I just never imagined it would be this hard, I just want to enjoy pregnancy and I really can’t, I feel like an emotional anxious wreck x

Thank you for your reassuring words. I suppose I thought the further I got in pregnancy the easier it would be but it seems to be the complete opposite, my anxiety seems to heighten each day. I fell pregnant 6 weeks after my second miscarriage and I wasn’t suppose to, I was trying to give myself time to heal emotionally and physically so it was a shock x

Hey hunny. So yeah for me last year the progesterone did cover up my miscarriage and I had to stop taking it to help move things along. It was horrible. The thing is, all my symptoms disappeared, I knew something felt differently.
you still have your mild symptoms so that’s really postive to remember ❤️ sore nipples are a massive one & lots of women don’t get any symptoms. We’re so in tune with our bodies, especially after loss. You had your scan at 7 weeks and everything was great, your next scan will be too. Stay positive. If you have to keep having scans to stay reassured then do it hunny. If you feel yourself spiralling or catastophing get out and walk, meet a friend, go to the shops find a distraction. Sending you lots of positive vibes lovely xx
