Very early pregnancy test

Hi. I’m looking for some advice. I had the mirena coil removed in early July and had my first period on 22nd-26th July. I have been monitoring my ovulation for a few months and ovulated on 4th August. I an unsure of my cycle length but roughly I am predicted to have my period on 19th August. This morning I took an Ovum early detection pregnancy test which had a very faint line. I took another which again had a very faint line. I think used a clear blue ultra early test which too had a very faint line (I’ve attached pictures and apologise it is hard to see the lines but they were there and confirmed by my partner. I went and bought a clear blue ultra early digital test which showed not pregnant. I’ve read online these aren’t always as sensitive as others but I have no experience to go by. I used these tests because they state they can be taken 5 days before your expected period. I wondered if anyone had any advice? I plan to retest in a couple/few days - would be good to hear your thoughts x

I can see the line of re test in a few days digital test aren’t always as sensitive xx

I can't see the lines but if they're that faint and it's still very early, chances are your hcg is not high enough to register on a digital.
I'd retest in a few days or, better yet, wait to miss your period first then test

I’m sorry I can’t see lines on any of them. The digital 5 days early test are sensitive - they wouldn’t be able to detect pregnancy 5 days early if they weren’t. Keep testing if you’re early though - a line could still appear.

The lines don't show up in the photos but as you can see them in person, the only thing to do now is wait to book an appointment with the midwifery base. I think in my area it was once you are 6 weeks you can book in with them (for your appointment at 8 weeks pregnant). As the lines are so so faint, I would think it's possible that you don't have enough hcg in your system for a digital one to detect.

Hi. Further to yesterday I took a mom med test this morning and saw a faint line so I did another and then a third one to check. They have all come up with a faint line, I did one yesterday which was blank. Can I ask for your thoughts? Is this brand reliable? I am 11dpo.

I can see the lines now!

Kitty1987 · 15/08/2024 10:59

I had an urge to test and did the digital weeks one which came back pregnant 1-2 weeks, then did the ultra early digital (which was negative yesterday) which came back positive and then did the standard early pregnancy one which has a faint line. I can assume these are all positive can’t I?!

Yes, all positive.
Congratulations

Congratulations - those latest ones are definitely positive

@Kitty1987 - I know this thread is from 08/24 but I wanted your opinion... I have just tested using the OVUM Early detection and wanted your thoughts on if you think the lines are similar to how yours started out or if they are evap lines - I've read many bad reviews of evaps on these tests.
I did one last night and another today with SMU - i appreciate your help xx

Can you help? I’m totally new to all of this.

I have taken a very early pregnancy test ( my period is not due for another week) however I do see the faintest of second line…

Is it there? What does this mean?

Negative Pregnancy test today… due on my period in 5 days- could I get a positive on an early pregnancy test? Thanks

Endofmynoopy · 20/09/2025 14:42

@Mumems99 you would honestly be better off just waiting a few more days to test, then whatever result you get should be fairly clear.
