Methotrexate for ectopic?

Hi, I was given a methotrexate shot yesterday for ectopic pregnancy. My HCG level yesterday morning was 269 and progesterone was low they said. I just wanted to hear any stories of whether or not methotrexate worked for others? Or whether you ended up having surgery? The doctors didn’t seem too positive about it in general but said it’s worth a try before surgery as my levels are low.

My HCG was 501 when I had the shot and it worked for me, my levels came down steadily over 2 weeks or so.

Hi, I am due to get a methotrexate injection tomorrow, can you advise on your symptoms side effects and experience please? My levels about 300 , going up slightly every 48 hours, was 150 a week ago
