Brown spotting 5 and a half weeks

2 days ago it was pink mixed with discharge and now it’s brown I notice in knickers and wiping after BM.
i haven’t had any since finding out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago and had exactly the same symptoms around the same time a few months ago which ended in a miscarriage at 6 weeks.
Should I prepare for the worst again? I feel so deflated.

I totally understand. The fear after a miscarriage can be awful. A lot of my friends has this in the early stages and their midwives said it was implantation. They all had healthy babies. Hoping it's the same for you

Thank you for your reply! I always thought implantation was usually in the 3/4 week mark but maybe it’s possible. I’m trying to remember that the likelihood of 2 miscarriages in a row is very unlikely.

Thank you for checking in. I convinced my GP to check progesterone and hcg at 5w3d.
Progesterone was 32 and hcg 8000 which was a good surprise. It was 4 and 1500 just before I miscarried before.
Ive also had no more bleeding since and nausea has now started. Going to epu for a scan in 2 weeks when I’ll be 8 weeks.

Hi I am currently 21 weeks and feeling lots of movement so this must have been left over implantation 🙂 I also had red bleeding at 10 weeks but after a scan they couldn’t see any reason for it so possibly cervical irritation.

Thank you so much for replying 🩵 I’m 5+4 and had some brown cervical mucus yesterday when checking, not even on knickers or wiping. EPU are scanning me Monday but I’m preparing myself for the worst, although so positive to hear your story 🥰 xx

In sure you’ll be absolutely fine. I know it’s easy to say not to worry but it sounds completely normal. Good luck 😘
