Ectopic Pregnancy

So after thinking I was 6 weeks pregnant it turns out I'm possibly having an ectopic pregnancy. Had a scan last week which showed PUL. So they done blood tests. My HCG levels have only risen by 24% in 2 days, I've got to go back Tuesday for another one but the doctor was quite honest that it isn't a good sign and we are looking at ectopic.

Im absolutely devastated. This is my first pregnancy. I'm scared in case I need an operation to remove it and terrified this will happen again in the future.

Anyone who has been through this have any advice? I feel so sad, all the excitement wiped away in a flash.

At the moment I have no other symptoms, only a dodgy stomach but no blood or pain.

So devastated.

I'm so sorry you've had such sad news. I know it sounds scary to have a tube removed but it actually only reduces your chances of pregnancy by a tiny percentage (our bodies are amazing!). I had my operation at the end of August, didn't try in September (they recommend having at least one period before trying again) and then was pregnant again by December. Baby is due a week on Monday. So it's totally possible to get pregnant again quickly!

Give yourself chance to grieve. Cry, scream, hug your loved ones. I understand it's devasting ❤️

Thank you so much for replying @Letsgotitans
That's so lovely to hear and I'm absolutely made up for you, how amazing after your ectopic. That's given me hope. Thank you I really needed that. So wonderful for you after what you have been through.

I feel so sad and cried lots of tears today. At this moment it just feels so raw and I'm just heartbroken.

Can I ask how the op was for you? I have never been admitted to hospital or had any sort of procedure and that's absolutely terrifying me.

The operation was fine, just felt sleepy after but was back home the next day. Unfortunately I can't comment on normal recovery as I had a very very rare complication (Port site hernia) so was poorly after but I think normally you are physically back to normal quite quickly! They did it via key hole surgery so the impact is minimal. I had a scar on my belly button and two small scars either side of my stomach.

I had someone there walking into the operation with me literally just there to help keep me calm which was nice.
