How early or late was your 2nd baby vs your 1st?

My first arrived at 41+ 6

Now pregnant with second and wondering.... will he/ she come sooner.....?!

The same. Both arrived on their due dates.

1st born on due date. 2nd 12 days late.

My first was (my dates vs hospital dates) 42w or 40w6

second and third we’re 40+1 (and considerably smaller)

1st 39w 3 days 2nd 40w 3 days currently 24 weeks pregnant. Think it's down to when baby feels ready possibly. .

Mine is pretty much the opposite of previous poster.

DD1 - 40+2

DD2 - 39+3

Both spontaneous labours and only 2ozs difference between them x

First was 40+5, second was 40+1. I think on average, first babies come two days later than subsequent ones, but there's a huge amount of variation between individual pregnancies.

First 4 days early. Second still quite happily in situ (he was happy I was less so....) 2 weeks after due date so he was induced.....

Emergency section after failed induction

Second 34+2
5lb 5oz
Planned section due to pre-eclampsia

DC1 34+6 spontaneous

So interesting to hear of women going 12 days over. My trust induces once 7 days over but apparently it varies trust to trust.

First was 39+4 and 7lb7oz (labour started 36 hours after a sweep)
Second was 38+5 and 7lb1oz (spontaneous labour)

All very late and evicted via induction.

First child was 37+2.
Second child was 37+4.

My three, all spontaneous labours:
39+2
40+5
39+2

My first and second were both 6 days late!

DS1 37+6

both spontaneous and very fast labours

First 41+2 emergency section
Second 39+1 planned section

Sorry to disappoint you but there's no way of telling!

First 32 weeks I had pre eclampsia so he had to be delivered, second 38 weeks but developed pre eclampsia again so she had to be delivered but was thankful she was pretty much full term.

DS first born 10 days early
DD second born I was convinced would be the same and early but was 2 days late.
I was beside myself as I didn’t enjoy pregnancy. I guess 2 days late is acceptable but I had convinced myself she would arrive early the same.

DD1 39+2
DD2 40+5
DD3 39+2

1st - 39+2
2nd - 37+4

Both arrived on their own.
