Hello all,
Has anyone had a thin blue line on a clearblue and actually been pregnant?
I have a thin line but it's definitely blue and I thought evap lines are colourless?

Thanks

Have you got a photo? From what I know, blue dye tests aren’t as clear/reliable than red dye but if you can see colour and read the result within the timeframe (at 3 minutes, it after 5/10 minutes) then you’re likely looking at a positive result x

Hi thanks - this is the test.

Yeah that line is quite thin. The boots early tests are red dye and you can get red dye tests on Amazon - how far in your cycle are you testing? I’d get red dye tests and try again in a couple of days to be sure. I would (if I were you) discard this is result and go with your next one. But that’s just me xx good luck 🤞🏼

Hi, thanks. I'm currently 6 days late and I'm never late so I guess we wait and see!

I think it’s an evap line - I’m sorry. Can you try another type of test? Ideally with red dye. The line needs to be as thick as the control line for it to be real. Also if you’re 3 days late you’d have a strong line by now. It’s probably that you ovulated late.

Witchyone2024 · 10/08/2024 08:36

Well I'm hoping it's an evap line so that will be good! Currently 6 days late but I have very short cycles! Will test again in a few days if it hasn't arrived. Thanks

That’s good then! It’s likely you’ve ovulated late or not at all - probably just a random cycle. I used to get them every now and again. 🙂

WiseDog · 11/08/2024 10:11

I would say that's a definite positive test as mine was the same I am now 30 weeks 4 days gone , congrats x

Witchyone2024 · 11/08/2024 13:24

It's all very confusing - I have since done two tesco cheapies and both negative but now period is a week late 🤷‍♀️

@Witchyone2024 If the tests are negative I’d trust those. You likely didn’t ovulate or ovulated late and your period could be delayed by weeks (depending on if/when you did ovulate). I had one random cycle that was 45 days long as I didn’t ovulate. Apparently it usually happens once a year to most women. If the tests are negative and you’re one week late it’s HIGHLY unlikely you’re pregnant.

Let's hope so!
