Ok so I needed a quick snack and grabbed a muller light yoghurt from the fridge that has a date on of 4th of August!
Feeling worried now I am going to get sick or something?
Has anyone else done this?? Or advice on eaten past sell by date yoghurts! Thanks

You will be absolutely fine. Yoghurt, because it is a fermented food anyway, is very slow to go really off. Plus, if it was off, you would have tasted it immediately, like when you taste off milk.

lol you shall be fine. My grandmother in Pakistan used to make yoghurt and she said it never really goes off until it's like mouldy. A few days is fine :)

Write your will quiiiiick!

Is your will up to date?

Cross posted...!)

(You'll be fine. Yoghurt is sort of 'gone off' milk anyway.)

Bjorkdidit · 09/08/2024 15:39

I wouldn't eat a Muller Light yogurt whether it was in date or not. Revolting things full of crap. But if it tasted like it should have, it won't make you ill.

Yogurt is usually fine for 2/3 weeks at least after the date, possibly longer.

Goneback2school · 09/08/2024 15:40

My rule is that yogurt is good until the chemical reactions caused by it going off causes the top to puff up.

Newmumtobe2025 · 09/08/2024 15:54

fear not those commenting about writing a will! - that I am covered.
jokes aside I just generally don’t want an upset stomach as would worry me, not that anything can stop that be as I have consumed it. But merely asked to see others thoughts for my own self comfort. Thanks for all who have commented x

Those dates are a load of rubbish you know, I never pay attention to them. The amount of sugar in a Muller Light, you could probably eat it a month later and be fine.

Ponkpinkpink15 · 09/08/2024 16:11

@Newmumtobe2025

Honestly, you'll be fine.

if it wasn't right, you would have noticed (even if you feel like you were distracted!!)

Ivehearditbothways · 09/08/2024 16:13

Yoghurt is absolutely fine after it’s date. As long as there isn’t any green stuff growing on it, you can eat it. Don’t worry at all!
