Cyclogest Progesterone

I was prescribed Progesterone (Cyclogest) 400mg pessary just once a day but when I went for my follow up ultra sound (where we saw the heart beat at 6 weeks so all going well) I was told I should be on it twice a day and must of been a mistake before…

I am worried now that I have not been taken enough and it could cause issues! I just wondered what the difference would be of 200mg or 400mg and why they only gave me it once…

Has anyone ever only been prescribed one and all been ok? I will be upping my dose as soon as I get the extra tabs but really nervous I haven’t been taking enough in the first place!

If all looked good at your scan, it’s not caused any issues

Progesterone is simply to support the pregnancy, if you've got this far OK on one then I doubt there will be issuing relating to that.

Taking two simply means more support. X

oh thank you for this! I am just about to go into week 7 so a bit of extra support can’t hurt at all!

2 a day is a huge dose, that's what is generally prescribed but even 1 is a massive support to a pregnancy. Congratulations!
