Worrying about pregnancy

Hi,

I was sent to the EPU after having cramping that was taking away my breath and waking me up from my sleep. I had a scan at 4w 6d to check if it had implanted in the right place and it had. There was a gestational sac and yolk sac present but no heartbeat. I’ve to go back in 2 weeks to check for viability. I worry so much and constantly google things. Anyone any advice?

thanks
RGmum

Heartbeat won’t be there til at least 6 weeks (and I hope they told you that!). Otherwise it sounds normal for that gestation. I had cramps and pains all throughout first trimester

As PP said, heartbeat isn't usually detected until 6 weeks-ish. I had pretty bad cramping around that time too, it can be normal 💛

Heartbeat won’t be detected until at least 6 weeks (and commonly later!) so if you’re anxious I’d wait until after 7 weeks at least to go for a private scan - or wait until you have your 12 week.

Thank you for the reassurance :) google can be your worst enemy at times. Here’s hoping all is okay next week 💚
