So my cycles are always good and on time, I'm 31 and have children already
This cycle I felt different, you know that gut feeling you're pregnant, I had that
I tested 1 day before my period was due and shockingly for me it was negative. I had none of my usual pms symptoms and like I said a gut feeling I was pregnant. I had negative tests until my period was 5 days late and then the faint positive lines began. By day 8 of my missed period I had definite positive lines, I am pregnant. So did I ovulate late? My friend told me late ovulation normally ends in miscarriage. I can't get an appointment with my gp until next week and haven't spoken to anyone else as nervous to do so. Anyone have any positive stories or similar experiences good or bad. Feel a bit lonely and would love to hear from others. Sorry for such a long explanation Smile

Hi, sorry no words of advice as such, apart from no late ovulation doesn't mean miscarriage 🤦🏽‍♀️ so don't listen to that.

I ovulated late and haven't miscarried.

Do congratulations 🎉

Thank you so so much for taking your time to reply and for the reassurance, that means a lot 🤎 I'm so nervous, never thought I'd have anymore children but excited at the thought of it

I'm not an expert, but I don't think late ovulation causes miscarriage. It just means your egg was released later.

There is some evidence that late implantation is associated with increased risk of miscarriage. But ovulation and implantation are different things, and there's never any guarantees in any case, sadly.

Hopefully all will be well with your pregnancy and they can date your pregnancy at an early scan around 6 weeks or so. Good luck!

Late ovulation doesn’t mean miscarriage! Lots of things can cause you to ovulate later. Don’t worry - and congratulations! 🥳
