Hi I just need some help I took a test Monday clear
Blue one I took it in the morning put it on the side got ready for work then when I looked at it again before I left for work it looked like this, I'm not sure I've done some hcg test strips since and they've been negative but is it to early? Is this test invalid? I'm not sure I just need some help and advice!

Did you look at it within 4 minutes?

Id take another one. They're not valid after the specific time frame in instructions (normally 4-5 minutes) so I wouldn't rely on this! Fingers crossed though

Do You recommend taking the same brand as ive took the hcg strip test ones the cheap ones an they was negative this morning, i went to the dr's yesterday she told me it could be positive it would of only been left for 20-25 mins but ive been told this line is to blue and visible to be an evap line

@samasamantha113 id take one with red dye - I think they're less likely to run. I only emphasise caution because I had a positive this way that turned out not to actually be a positive! It does look like too much colour for an evap but unless the test is done within the right time frame I've always been told to ignore it

Clearblue tests are awful for this, I've had numerous blue evaps with them. I'd get a boots early detection, they're red and reliable and affordable. Good luck!

They are not my favourites but if your clear blue is right any early test red dye would show that so I think if you can get one and test first thing tomorrow it's worth doing

Marchbug · 07/08/2024 12:15

I like the boots early response, they're red dye. If that clear blue was a true pos then would definitely show on one by now

No problem im going to get a boots one i think tonight and do it tomorrow what if its still to early im going from the 21st or 28th since i would've last done anything intercourse wise not sure which date as i dont normally keep track but if it was the 28th it might still be to early im being told by the doctors, if ive done the cheap hcg strip tests if theyve got a line thats really really faint what would you take this as? the dr's have said to keep testing for the next 3 or so weeks

if i bought the really cheap hcg test strips are they the same as buying the boots cheap early test?

It depends if they're early ones that can detect lower levels of hgc

Is it best to buy a early detecting one as tomorrow I will probably be 8DPO

OP posts:
gormlessgoldilocks · 07/08/2024 14:46

If you're only 8dpo tomorrow then it's very early for a positive anyway. Id get an early detection and do one tomorrow but if it's negative it doesn't mean you won't be this cycle. I never got positives on mine until 11DPO

Yeah I did think this I might keep doing the hcg strip tests until I'm 11DPO which will be Sunday for me and then see cause I'm having some symptoms achey legs, headaches, tired, feeling sick in middle of the day sometimes so I don't know
