TTC, in 2ww, 10dp and symptom spotting and not noticing anything. Has anyone had a similar experience and turned out to be pregnant?

Hello all, my husband and I are TTC, it’s been several months since we started.

I am trying to take a more laid back approach, putting less pressure on myself as it doesn’t change the outcome, but it’s so hard not to analyse every symptom or lack of symptom.

I am currently in 2ww, now 10dpo and trying to avoid symptom spotting and just wait for a hopefully missed period in a few days, but I can’t help being aware that not noticing any symptoms at all.

Possibly a very slight bit of discomfort in one breast, and tiny little fluttery pulls in tummy, but if I’m being honest it could be indigestion!

Has anyone had a similar experience of not noticing any symptoms even when looking for them, but has turned out to be pregnant?

I realise I am still putting pressure on myself by thinking about it so much, but this time I am just trying to manage my own expectations so I don’t feel disappointed again this month if it doesn’t happen.

I would appreciate any advice from those who had previously been symptom spotting with either BFP or BFN outcome.

I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant via IVF. We tried for 3 years naturally. Plus had 2 previous failed rounds of IVF.
I cannot tell you the amount of "symptoms" I've had and never been pregnant.
And right now at 5 weeks pregnant, confirmed by blood test with good HCG levels apparently, I have absolutely none. My boobs are sore but I'm on progesterone and they've been sore since before the embryo transfer so I can't really count that as a symptom.
I don't feel nauseous. I don't need to wee more. I don't have cramping. I'm not hungrier or thirstier. I don't smell anything stronger. I don't have a metallic taste in my mouth. Absolutely zilch when it comes to symptoms.

I know the 2ww is awful though. And no matter how much I told myself I wouldn't symptom spot I always did.
But honestly in my case no symptoms hasn't meant anything! Its still worked. (For now at least. Still very early days)

I just found out I was pregnant with DC2 last week and only took the test on a whim. I had zero symptoms. I’m over 5 weeks now and feel a bit tired, but that could be chasing a toddler around! With DC1 (TTC 8/9 months before BFP), I also had no symptoms other than my usual drink tasting a bit weird one day. That was it! But I can’t tell you the number of months I swore I was pregnant because of this symptom or that symptom.

I was big on symptom spotting as I had every symptom going during the TWW when I had my first pregnancy (sadly ended in a chemical) so I assumed that this would always be the case with any subsequent pregnancy.
The cycle we conceived this baby (now 27 wks), I had absolutely no symptoms, thought it definitely hadn’t happened, and even had light “period cramps” the day before my expected period.
I was bored and home alone one evening and had one last cheapie test left and so decided to take it the day before my missed period… and lo and behold! I couldn’t believe it.
So never say never!

Thank you @Boxoo
and congratulations.

It’s really interesting to hear that you had the opposite, lots of noticeable symptoms when not pregnant and nothing when you were pregnant.

I have also had so many “symptoms” each month and turned out not to be pregnant. Each month it would be something different and new, and I’d convince myself that was a pregnancy. Now I realise my PMS symptoms change each month and not to trust them.
Which is why I’m now wondering about my lack of symptoms - hopefully this is a sign AF isn’t on its way.

I will try to keep patient for now.
Thanks for sharing your positive story! 💞

That’s funny the lack of symptoms actually meant it was good news for you.
I will stay hopeful and patient and fingers crossed I will have a similar experience! 🤞

Thanks for sharing. I’m sorry for your loss, and congratulations. I’m very pleased for you that no symptoms turned into such good news 💞
