Sweep 38 weeks.

How successful have people been with their second sweep?

I had two at 38 weeks and nothing, only 1cm, when I went in for induction at 39 weeks I was still 1cm. With my first I had a sweep at 40 weeks, was 2-3cm, she could stretch to 4cm, waters bulging, bloody show and still nothing happened for 5 days, so for me they've never worked

I had an attempted sweep at 38+4 on Sunday and am due another today at 38+6 as being induced on Thursday (at 39+1).

Midwife said cervix was too closed to perform sweep and I strongly suspect it will be the same again today. It’s a shame but I’m hoping baby will get the message regardless once the induction starts and it won’t be too long and painful….
