Just that!

I'm exhausted x 100. Running after a toddler doesn't help either. Just wanted to write a thread about it. Anyone else? yawns whilst typing 🥱

25 weeks and also have a toddler in tow, I feel you! Is there any way you can access more childcare for your toddler in the next few months so you can get the rest your body needs?

T2024 · 04/08/2024 13:40

Yep nearly 21 weeks here and my 3yo is absolutely kicking my butt energy wise, the afternoons and bedtimes are the hardest!

Eyes are stinging most days 🤣 I'm trying to go to sleep at his bedtime to keep up during the day 😴

whoops2024 · 05/08/2024 20:10

@SouthwestSis hey 👋🏼
Luckily my mum can take him whilst I'm at work! We just had some annual leave and it got crazy! Back to work now though and mum has him. He starts pre school in September so that should help too! Bless him! Today I feel less tired! Maybe the annual leave made me worse haha!

@T2024 I feel you!!
Yes I also go bed super early too! Cannot stay awake past 8:30pm haha.

Hey lovely, yes all good thanks, just getting a bit more physically tired now, 25 weeks today ❤️

How are you and how far along are you now? xx

UnravellingTheWorld · 04/09/2024 15:46

Can I join? 29 weeks and feeling like a truck ran over me. I took my 3yo swimming last week and had to nap for the rest of the day!

Didn't have pregnancy insomnia last time but it's a real b!tch this time around 🥱

SouthwestSis · 04/09/2024 15:59

Welcome to the club @UnravellingTheWorld !

Hey @whoops2024 , I'm sort of dragging myself through each week, 29+ 2 today, have developed GDM and bump is huge, having a growth scan tomorrow.
Uncomfortable most of the time and quite nervous about getting through Fridays now as that's my day at home with my 2.5 year old and u just find it hard to keep up with him now!

Sleep at night has been getting harder, finding it's taking me several hours to fall asleep and I'm also waking quite early naturally despite clearly needing more sleep. If it wasn't for work I'd be having an afternoon nap every day!
Got a pregnancy pilates class this evening so hoping to feel marginally better after doing something for myself

@T2024 hello! Oh I feel you on the tiredness 🫂

I've now hit the nesting stage big time. Hubby keeps walking in on me cleaning hard to reach areas and telling me off. One day (when I was suppose to be working 🤫) I decided to clean the top of the kitchen cupboards! Hubby was best please as he knew I would have had to stand on chairs/counter tops!

I'm 31 weeks today and up at 3am with insomnia. I think I'm panicking now because we still have a lot to buy! Just gone crazy on vinted. The middle of the early morning wee wake up call is dangerous because I can then never get back to sleep!

@UnravellingTheWorld welcome!!
You're pretty close to me date wise! When's your due date?

I feel you on the exhaustion especially running around after a 3 year old! Mine started pre school this week and I've been an emotional wreck!

Insomnias hit me too, never had it with my other pregnancies! 😵‍💫🥴

@SouthwestSis sending love to you sounds like you're having a tough time! How did the growth scan go hope all is well 🙏

Parenting with a toddler is an Olympic sport I tell you!! Hope your days goes okay today!

Fab to hear you're putting yourself first by attending Pilates hope it helps! I barely move as I have a work from home job and find I sit down for hours on end! 🤦🏻‍♀️

@whoops2024 I also wfh (only 2 days fortunately) and that chair is KILLING my back, so I feel your pain. Might take the headrest off so that I can sit up straighter... though then slouching wouldn't be quite so comfortable 😁

I'm due 18th Nov, @SouthwestSis I think we're due date twins?

I can't have any caffeine at all or the insomnia gets ramped up. Two days ago I had a half-caf in the morning, really tiring day... and somehow got no sleep that night! Relfux started burning my throat the second I even THOUGHT about lying on my right side.

Anyway, time to go walk outside with the boy and his bike!

whoops2024 · 25/10/2024 17:06

Hello!!

How's everyone doing???

I'm 38 weeks today eeek! How's everyone feeling? I have such bad pelvic pain and exhausted but I'm trying to nest too!

We've nearly made it! I've been hospitalized twice because I'm at risk of preterm labour 😩😩😩 Mucus plug has gone, and BH are pretty constant. Hang in there baby, 37 weeks on Monday!

It's so difficult to find the balance between enough rest and getting on top of everything that needs done! I had so much planned this weekend which has now gone to sh!t as I'm on the ward. Baby's bag is NOT packed because I've been too tired - in fact I don't even have a physical bag to put thing in yet. I need sleep but the woman in the next bed keeps snoring.

Hope everyone else is doing better than me!

whoops2024 · 26/10/2024 20:20

@UnravellingTheWorld hello!

Oh wow my goodness. Sounds like it's been a whirlwind for you! Are you still on the ward what have the midwives / consultants been saying? Have everything crossed you can surpass 37weeks 🙏🙏 BHs are no joke! They say oh they don't hurt but they can be incredibly uncomfortable ! Hope you got some sleep! Hope baby is okay during monitoring!

Oh honestly I'm 38wks and we've only just packed the bag and the bags too small so I'm going to just use an old gym bag! I don't have the energy for an aesthetic bag 😂
