So I don't know whether I should be annoyed or not as this is the first time I'm experiencing this but I'm 11 weeks pregnant and I have still not had my booking appointment.
I rang the gp a few weeks ago to make an appointment. I got a phone call a few days later (I think) which I missed but then got a message that the apt was booked for the 22nd of July. I couldn't make that date as I had a family wedding and I knew there was no way I could attend. So I called the midwife back on the same day and no one answered. I then rang the gp surgery to ask if they can rearrange to which they said to me only the midwife can rearrange the appointment so we can leave her a note so she can get back to you with a different date.
I waited. A week went by, nothing. I got a phone call from a midwife (not the one I was supposed to see on the booking appointment) and she wanted to ask some questions over the phone. She said this would help speed up the booking appointment. I then mentioned that I could not make the appointment and explained the situation. She did find out that the midwife only works on Mondays so she will probably get back to you on a Monday. I was like ok 
she also told me to ring the community midwives and hoped that they could help. So I called them but their response was the same. We will leave her a message and she will get back to you.
Fast forward I am now 11 weeks. I have had no appointments so far. I should be approaching my 12 week scan soon but don't see that happening since I can't get hold of the midwife!!!
What do I do? Do I have a right to complain about this?
