I had a bleed Thursday night and its due to me having an hemorrhage in my womb some of which is still there.
Went for a private scan last night.

I'm meant to be 7ish weeks but baby is measuring 6+1. No heart beat detected.
He said it can go either way, sometimes it can be to early and re scan in 2 weeks.

I'm trying to have hope.

Has anyone else been through this? No heart beat at 6 weeks and measuring behind and all been OK?

You could scroll down the page in ' Pregnancy ' and find the thread Private scan was wrong !!! Stressful 24hours

only posted with the last 24 hours, it may be helpful.

You should contact your local epu and tell them they could get you in for a scan sooner than 2 weeks because usually they are a lot more accurate than private scans. Heartbeat is usually detected at 6 weeks but I've seen many people fo for private scans and they're told there's no heartbeat....think they're having an MC....but then NHS scan picks the heartbeat up! Id definitely contact epu. Good luck 🤞

Just to add
I took a clearblue digital 8th July said 1-2 weeks and again on 12th July 2-3 weeks now those indicators actually match how big baby was. I'm hoping my dates are off and maybe conceived later then I thought xx

Great thank you. Even she said it was probably to early to see heartbeat and I may of conceived later then I thought. I told her i still have sore boobs (really sore today) and nausea, she said that's a good sign. She's contacted epu for a scan so fingers crossed I see a little heart beat 🤞 x

It's impossible to say at this stage especially in a natural conception when the dates are less conclusive. Technically, you should see a heartbeat at 6 weeks gestation, however if it's any reassurance, I had an IVF conception (so dates are fixed and known) and no heart beat at 6 weeks, and they were sure I'd lost the baby. I had a re-scan 1 week later, mainly to see that my body was passing the baby naturally or if they needed to intervene and to everyone's shock there was a strong solid heartbeat. She's now almost 2 and half!

Good luck!

Was it an internal scan? If the private scan was abdominal only that might be why they couldn’t see much. When I went to EPU for bleeding at 6 weeks they said they couldn’t see a heartbeat when they did the abdominal scan (terrifying) so I had to do a wee then they did an internal and it was there.

I don’t know why they bother with abdominal scans when it’s so early, chances are so low of seeing anything. Good luck x

Hello
Unfortunately I had a missed miscarriage 😭. Baby stopped growing at 6 weeks 1 day. I had an mva 22nd August. Just had my period started on Friday so hoping this month 🙏 will be my month. I'm praying for you and hope everything will be OK. Xx
