Hoping for some reassurance

on Tuesday I was 5weeks1 day EPU measured me at 5 weeks 6 days and seen yolk sac and foetal pole

On Friday morning a different clinic measured me 5 weeks 6 days ( 3 days later?) and said they couldn't see foetal pole.

I am now panicking that the pregnancy isn't progressing because iv been measured the same gestation 3 days apart. ..has anyone had similar experiences please

Hey 👋 the fetal poles are literally micro- millimetres in size at 5-7 weeks. There’s a lot of margin for error. How come you’re having so many scans? I honestly would save your money and wait until at least 7 weeks before having another scan now - as you’ve seen it will only
make you more anxious. I know it’s really hard. I had a scan at 7 weeks as that’s the earliest my ivf clinic would do a scan because before then there’s often very little to see. Then I had another for reassurance at 9.5 weeks. I really would honestly stop scanning yourself and just try and take a deep breath and know there’s something growing in there, no amount of scans will change the outcome though I wish they would! ☺️ good luck!!

Haha trust me not through choice I had an ectopic back in April and am classed as high risk so they are really closely monitoring me....not due to go back until Wednesday and I have read of people getting different readings just worried baba isn't progressing!!

Oh bless you, sorry to hear! I genuinely think they shouldn’t tell you the size so early, it just causes more stress. It’s like them trying to measure a grain of sand accurately, it could vary so much depending on which person does it. Try not to worry. It’s not ectopic and something is in there. How many more scans do you have now? Surely if they know it’s growing in the right place then there’s not much more scanning will identify at this stage? Seems like more stress for you than anything else. 😣

@Livingonhope It’s the hardest bit I’ve found (I’m 15 weeks) waiting for the 12 week scan. I was so anxious it wasn’t ok and worrying about missed miscarriage I had a scan at 9.5 weeks and it made the long wait much more bearable! If you’re feeling anxious I’d definitely go get one around then/10 weeks. They look like little jelly babies 🥹
