Baby shower etiquette - re thank you cards

I recently had my baby shower but have another seven weeks to go until baby is here so I was wondering about the etiquette for thank you cards.

Do I:

A) wait until baby is here and then send a thank you card including birth details and a photo of baby with the gift (e.g. lying next to the teddy or wearing the outfit).

B) send thank you cards now then send another card once baby is here, again including birth details and with the gift?

I’d send a text now saying thanks for coming and the gift, then do cards once baby is here

Agree with pp about acknowledging the gifts straight away. 7 weeks is a long time and I'm sure you'll send pics / a birth update when baby is here anyway.

Plus you might not have the energy to be putting a newborn in different outfits just to take a pic for family / friends.

Thank you all 😊
