Cramping

Is anyone else who is 4-5 weeks pregnant getting mild cramping? I'm getting the odd twang every now and then and while I've read it's normal I can't help but worry!

Hiya! I'm around 5-6 weeks and I have been getting very mild cramping here and there, a few sharp twinges too, its just your body preparing for the baby to grow, all completely normal at this stage I think ❤️. Have you got any other symptoms so far? 💕

That's reassuring, thank you. Yes weird boob pains, some nausea and a metallic taste. I had an MC in April so I'm extra anxious about this pregnancy.

Hey, I'm 33 weeks pregnant and cramping was my main symptom in the third trimester, especially in the very early weeks. It's a good sign if anything :) x

Completely normal, the baby is embedding itself into the uterus, the placenta will start growing in the coming weeks and months and it does cause some cramping. You'll also get pains from the uterus growing and the ligaments stretching and moving, always ask your midwife if you're worried though

I am 4w 3d and have had this also, and I keep waking up with lower back pain also, has anyone else had lower back pain with the cramping? Also very worried x

Yes, I had a lot of lower back pain alongside the cramping. Went away around 15/16 weeks :) x

Sorry to see your update OP. Sending you baby dust for future and please try not to worry if you do get cramping when you fall pregnant again, it doesn't always mean the worst x
