This is my 2nd pg and im 18 weeks

i do have a high blood pressure as ive had it for the past 5 yrs (before i was pg with my first). My pressure reading was 130/80 which is high but ok for me (it was the exact same in my first pg and i had the blurred vision once but had no probs during pg).

i saw my midwife Tuesday just gone. How many times should i have this blurred vision before i call the midwife?

I'd think about calling her asap, tbh.

High BP & visual problems don't sound very good!

don't want to worry you but this is a sign of Pre-eclampsia and I think that you should go to see your midwife asap today.

oh just noticed you are only 18 wks - unlikely top be pre-eclampsia as so early but still get checked out sooner rather than later x

what would my midwife do?

she would check your urine for protein and your bp again. I had HELLP/Pre-eclampsia back in Dec which came on very suddenly (was 30+6) and very nearly cost me and my DD our lives. I'm sure you are not suffering from this as you are only 18 wks but still get checked out in case it's something else - far better to be safe than sorry when it comes to the health of you and your LO

I would have this checked but is 130/80 high?
Normal systolic ranges can be between 110-140, and diastolic ranges between 70-90.
My BP is normally low, but raised to to the high end of this scale on occasion during my Pg. I would be concerned about the blurred vision, so I would get this checked out to see if the two are related.

my eyesight is always more crap when pregnant but i wear glasses...if you don't need glasses and this has just come one, it's definitely worth checking today. Forget MW- phone for emergency GP appointment.
