Red bleeding and cramps

Hiya, I was wondering if anyone had experienced anything similar to this and could share how things are going / went...

I am 6 weeks 1 day pregnant with baby number 2. Number 1 was born via emergency section which left me with a uterine scar defect (also called a niche). It took me 8 months to fall pregnant with number 2 and I've been having red spotting daily for 2 weeks, alongside cramping when the spotting occurs.

I had a scan at 5 weeks during which the sac was seen and all was well. I was rescanned at 6 weeks and a baby was seen with a heartbeat, but again no cause seen for spotting. The doctor also checked my cervix but there was no cause for bleeding there either.

It's so hard having red spotting with cramps every day and I don't know anyone who's experienced anything similar!

Hello, hope you’re ok. I have recently been referred to gynae which I’m waiting for. I have had awful spotting too since my c-section last September. The doctor after a scan thinks it’s a niche too. I find my spotting and cramps are bad for two weeks after my period finishes and can be heavy at times. Do you find this too?

Hiya @flowers246 my main symptoms were mid cycle spotting (brown old blood) during ovulation. It took me a long time to get pregnant again and I was actually booked in for a repair privately as they don't cover it on the NHS.

I'm now pregnant again and spotting red everyday, wondering if it's related to the niche. I've also been told because of the niche I can't go past 36 weeks x

I have no real advice as I wasn't in your situation of being post-C section but I absolutely understand how terrifying it is to be spotting in early pregnancy, it's absolutely horrendous and worrying. It could be anything or nothing, which is so unhelpful! Handhold.
