37+2 early signs of labour?

This is my second pregnancy but my first was very straight forward. At exactly 37 weeks with ds2 my mucus plug started to come away and has been coming out in rather big blobs since. Last night I had constant contractions which I was timing to be every 4-5 minutes for around 40 seconds, made it very uncomfortable to try and sleep but have since settled this morning and have just left me with a bad back pain! Has anyone ever had contractions start and stop. If so how long after did they start back up?
I have attached photos that I managed to get of what I think is my mucus plug? Have lost a big glob of light pink mucus this morning too.
The problem I am having is the contractions was very regular but definitely not as painful as with my first son!

Looks very much like labour could be soon for you. I’ve no experience myself but my friend lost her plug, claimed her contractions weren’t like her first child and ended up giving birth at home. Maybe phone triage and ask their advice

@Thefaceofboe They were so regular and could definitely be felt all night! But I remember being in absolute agony with my first, I am being seen for reduced movements soon so I'm hoping they will also check if I have dilated at all
