FRER POTENTIAL FALSE POSITIVE

Hello All,

just hoping to get your thoughts as I suppose it would be good to know.
I got a faint second line on a FRER test 2 days after my expected period. My partner and I got down to business last night and I’ve just started to bleed heavily 4 days after my missed period. What I’m wondering is if it may have been a false positive or am I having a very early miscarriage.

It doesn't look like a false positive to me the lines quite strong, some people will have a bleed and the pregnancy can be absolutely fine OR yes it could be an early miscarriage, nobody can tell you unless you go for an early scan or to the GP for bloods doing but id say you are or were definitely pregnant from that test. Hope all works out for you 🤞

It’s honestly hard to say without you doing another test in a few days and seeing if the line is still there. Bleeding in early pregnancy is fairly common - but equally it could be a chemical pregnancy. Good luck x

No that's not a false positive (if this is what it looked like within the correct time frame). If you are heavily bleeding it sounds like an early miscarriage, sorry to say. Heavy bleeding can happen and everything be OK (happened to my mum!) but it's unusual.

Thanks all for your responses. I suspect a chemical pregnancy as @HopefulllHolly suggested. Heavy bleeding with clots today so that’s the end of that! On to next month I go. 🌈💜
