Hi all.

Looking for some reassurance if possible. I had my 12 week scan yesterday and everything went well and baby was wriggling around ☺️ It was all really positive, but took a while to get some measurements. Baby is 12w + 5d. My nuchal result was 2.10.. I was relieved as it was under 3.5 but speaking to a few of my recent mum friends they all had results of 1. something and now I’m terrified and made myself so anxious I’m on the higher side. Will this make my results higher too possibly? As in if it does come back lower risk, my ‘1 in’ number is likely to be lower.

i have emailed midwife but no response yet as think she works part time.

any helpful advice would be great as I’m really anxious 😥

thank you x

Your result will be based on a combination of the nuchal translucency and the bloods that you'll have had done at the same time - if it helps at all, my NT at my dating scan was also 2.1 and my chance came back at 1/2700 for trisomy 21 and <1/5000 for trisomy 13 and 18. You can't really make any assumptions just based on the measurement.
