Contractions stopped

Hi everyone,
just looking for some advice/experiences.
I’m currently 41 + 3 and a FTM. Last night at around 11pm I started to experience contractions, paired with losing some bloody show. The contractions continues and developed a regular pattern of approx every 5 -7 minutes lasting around 45 seconds. They fluctuated between mild to moderate I’d say and continued until around 5:30am when I was eventually able to get to sleep. I woke up at 8am and still felt pains but with no pattern, however ever since that (I’ve also had a 2 hour nap), the contractions have completely stopped and now I only have a slight pressure on my pelvis when I’m walking.
I feel very defeated as I did believe Labour was happening and I could avoid the induction booked for Saturday.

can anyone shed light whether this happened for them and whether this is still positive as opposed to false Labour? I’m just fed up at this point!
thank you!

It’s your body ‘warming up’ OP. Really frustrating when you just want to get this show on the road. But it will be imminent now - good luck!

Very positive. This happenednto me from 5 days before DS1 was born and each day got more intense and lasting longer. Prodomal labour is normal with FTM and will be longer then Multiparous Mothers.
Don't stress, keep active birthing ball, dates, red raspberry leaf tea keep doing engagement exercises and relaxation to.
Care about little onea on YT have amazing videos on it all.

This happened to me, had all the right signs, took some paracetamol and had a nap thinking I would need it. Woke up and it’s all stopped, irregular pains for hours but nothing regular and then had some blood so rang for advice. Went into be checked and I was 6-7cm without even realising.

Go for a walk / bounce on a ball it all sounds promising. The more stressed you are the more labour won’t start (animalistic setting to only give birth in a safe place). Maybe have a bath?

This happened to me. Keep walking! Mine started again within 36 hours and were then very steady. Good luck!
