Measuring 2 weeks behind

I went for an early assurance scan at the weekend and was told they couldn’t see anything other than the sac, I called EPU and they seen me on Monday and to our surprise there was a tiny baby with a flicker.
The biggest concern is I should have been 8 weeks but measured at 5+5, after going through our positive ovulation & pregnancy test dates it doesn’t leave much room for a reason for me to be that far behind.
I am so hopeful for a positive outcome but I am petrified to get my hopes up after a loss in April.
With my last pregnancy that resulted in a loss, I was a week behind but never seen a heartbeat. Has anyone else experienced this and if so what was the outcome?
I’ve another scan in a week, everything crossed for our rainbow baby 🌈

Hi there, I know this post was a year ago but just wondered what your outcome was, I hope you have a lovely healthy baby 🤞🏼🌈

I am currently going through the exact same situation just now

I am so sorry that you are experiencing this, despite the outcome its truly the most anxious time and regardless of how many stories you read it is so hard to easy the nervousness.
Unfortunately that pregnancy did result in another loss but from posting I did come across other women’s stories that were similar and did result in the baby being okay and carrying to term.
I am currently 30weeks pregnant now with our double rainbow. I have everything crossed that you get a positive outcome and if not please do not give up hope. Xx

Hi there,

I just wanted to say thank you so much for getting back to me and for your kind words. Unfortunately, my pregnancy has not had a positive outcome either but I am hopeful that won’t always be the case.

congrats on your baby when they arrive xxx
