I don't think so. The pill prevents you from conceiving so if conception has already taken place...

i would imagine so. why, what are the circs?

dreamymum · 13/04/2008 15:48

i took it 6 weeks ago. i was feeling very preganant last week so i finally bought a test and i am. i think i just may have gotten pregnant before i took it....

the MAP is not 100% effective, but i would see your gp asap, explain that you took the MAP, are pg and would like an early scan to rule out ep (the MAP increases the risk of ectopic pg)

OracleInaCoracle · 13/04/2008 15:52

sorry, sounded v blunt there. im sure everything will be fine. congratulations x

Foetus takes approx 8 days to implant, so when you took the MAP it wouldn't have implanted yet. If you are pg then it has implanted, and should be fine, just ask your GP if you need a scan in case it impalnted in wrong place. Unlikely tho.

I would agree with the advice above. To reassure you though, evidence suggests there will be no harmful effects on the fetus. Good luck.

This exact same thing happened to a friend of mine. She now has a lovely, albeit unplanned, two year old girl.
