Hi I've been struggling with really bad anxiety for the last few weeks, I'm 35 weeks pregnant and it is taking all the joy and excitement from it. I do suffer from anxiety but usually is well managed by 20mg of citalopram, my GP had me up it to 30mg last week as she knew the risks of mother not being well for baby. I'm on day 9 and the increase hasn't really helped much as I'm still suffering badly with all the physical symtoms of anxiety and it is making me so down. Feeling very hopeless at the minute. Any positive stories or advice welcome. Thankyou xx

Hello

No real advice I'm afraid just sending you a hug, I know how hard this is, I'm in a similar position and was upped to 40mg before falling pregnant...they say it takes a while for the new dose to level out. Hang in there this will get better xx

Hi OP! I sympathise, anxiety is horrible, living inside your own head everyday is absolutely awful and I wouldn't wish it on anyone :(

Have you any specific worries?

Know that you're not alone!

💖your thoughts are not facts💖

Be patient with yourself and accept that positive change takes time, you are allowed to take time to yourself to recharge your body and mind, always focus what is in your power and ignore what you can't control.

One day at a time, one step at a time
Everything is going to be okay!

You got this OP! Look after yourself xx
