Hi I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant and my bmi is 30.5 and I haven’t been offered a gestational diabetes test, is this normal? I thought If bmi was over 30 you have to have one? Thanks:)

Was it 30.5 on booking or are you calculating it now at your 30 weeks pregnant weight?

I think in my trust you would have been offered one (I was, with booking BMI of 32) but they told me at my booking appointment to expect one later in the pregnancy and booked it for me at something like my 24 week midwife appointment for a few weeks after that. Has your midwife said anything to you about it at all? I would just ask them at your next appt or call them up if you're worried

@S47 my BMI at booking was 31. My midwife said they wouldn't test for GD as I had no other risk factors. However they do test urine at every appointment and if that shows glucose they would test then.
