COVID in third trimester

I'm 33 weeks and just tested positive for COVID. Stupidly, I never got my COVID booster...!

I don't feel too bad atm - just usual cold symptoms.

Has anyone else had COVID when pregnant and what is the risk to the baby?

TIA!

Honestly I think it's pretty irrelevant if it's Covid or not, if you feel OK I wouldn't worry. I don't know anyone who tests so a lot of pregnant women must have it unknowingly. Only be concerned if you are struggling to stay hydrated or more severe symptoms.

Current Covid booster isn't being offered to pregnant women anyway

Iv just had it at 30 weeks pregnant and they just said to me as long as I feel like I can manage at home just keep an eye on baby movement take paracetamol and plenty to drink any worry’s to ring up. I was quite poorly for 4 days and still stiff now x

I think they prescribe anti blood clotting meds if you’re in the third trimester. Best to talk to your midwife x

There are so many posts about this! Odds are it's completely fine but tell your midwife at next appointment and ring maternity triage if you feel like you're struggling to breath or worried about baby's movements (or anything else).

I had it in lock form in trimester 1, dd2 was fine. Only thing to consider is manage your temp don't let your self get too hot and paracetamol only but in reality it's fine 😁

It definitely is in some pharmacies so worth checking if you are looking to get protected and see what your local pharmacies are doing.

Thanks all! Have spoken to MW and they advised the same really.

Pregnant women are actually advised to get the booster jab in my area, just didn’t think Covid would be doing to the rounds again!
