Is anyone pregnant with their first in their 40s and now not sure how they feel?

Stopped my contraception 2 years ago mainly down to Brexit shortages, then decided to ‘not not try’, and after a year or so here I am. I’m not maternal in the slightest, I don’t feel any excitement at the moment and I’m not sure what that means…..

I’m 43 and 4 weeks . I’m really struggling to get excited. Feel now like I’m losing my life I’ve worked hard for etc xxxx

Exactly the same here! I feel like my life is essentially over now, and I feel bad for feeling that way. Is your partner happy / excited?
