Really poorly in third trimester

I just want to start by saying this has been extra hard for me because I’m currently away from home as stupidly we all thought the change of scenery would help but we’ve spent the best part of 5/6 days here (cottage in wales) poorly and miserable.

We’re leaving 2 days early today so I can see a doctor where we live and that way would go to my local hospital if that’s what it comes down to, which I hope and pray it doesn’t.

Symptoms to begin with were baaad aches, temperature got as high as 38.4 but I took regular paracetamol and it was bringing it down to about 37.8. Nasty cough, complete blocked nose, head feels like it’s going to explode, threw up twice when the fever hit, loss of appetite and pretty much sheer exhaustion.

We’ve ALL had the same symptoms so it’s not like I’ve been ill solo out of nowhere, my son brought it home with him during his last week of school go figure. My temperature is consistently down now to 37.2, I am drinking a TON so dehydration is not an issue, trying to eat little bits when I can and rest. My main symptoms now are just a horrific cough, soooo much congestion in my nose I’ve never known anything like it, head still feels like it’s in a vice and I’m just so exhausted constantly.

I have an appointment for when I get back home but just wanting advice from anyone having had similar whilst in the third trimester? Sorry I forgot to mention I’m 32 weeks pregnant. Have tested for Covid four times and it’s negative, thought maybe it was the flu as certainly is not like any cold I’ve experienced before! 😖

I had the same at 35 weeks, coughed so hard I lost some of my mucus plus. No adverse effects to the baby or pregnancy though I was just miserable.

So sorry others have been through this. Got home almost 2 hours later than planned due to road closures and missed my appointment so need to make one first thing in the morning. My temperature is back up again and my whole face hurts, I really think it’s turned in to a sinus infection. I can get them pretty nasty and they last weeks! 😩 I do usually pray they go away on their own though but seen as I’m 32 weeks pregnant and miserable I’m going to try and get antibiotics asap.
