Can implantation make you feel unwell?

I'm on cycle 2 of ttc baby no. 3, and I've had a bit of a weird day. This morning after my breakfast I started feeling a bit sick and thought nothing of it but within about 2 hours I honestly thought I was coming down with flu. Had to get my mum round to help look after the kids as I literally could not do anything; I had a fever, entire body aching, really dizzy and everything hurt.

I'm feeling a lot better now, still a little bit light headed and my head is now killing me, but nothing like earlier. It seems strange that it was so short-lived.

Anyway I've just been to the loo and when I wiped I was spotting (tmi warning) - pale pink, quite slimy. I'm on cd30 which would be about at least 4 or 5 days early for my period to start (my cycles are normally 34-38 days) so a little unusual. And it didn't really look like the start of my period. I'm just wondering if this could be implantation bleeding (I'm 9dpo) and whether this would explain why I was unwell earlier? Although I've never really heard of these sorts of symptoms being associated with implantation.

I was really unwell with what I thought was start of flu, high temp and aches and pains and had to take the day off work felt rubbish. No cold or flu symptoms materialised and I just passed it off as a random illness.

However looking back now I am pregnant it would have coincided when implantation was but obviously can't guarantee any link but I think it may have been linked.
