Late periods

Hi, does any one have any experience of a very late period but negative pregnancy test? Wondering if anyone then went on to have a positive test very late or if a negative is a negative 2 weeks after an expected period that still hasn’t arrived?

2 weeks late now and this is the HCG test today

Unless your cycle is usually very irregular then you would expect a strong positive two weeks after your period is due. So it might be that something else is going on (I am definitely not qualified to say what!).

Thanks for responding 😊, it is usually very regular and I have contacted my doctor who can’t advise anything other than wait and do more tests. I’m not TTC though so not looking for lines at all.

@Googlebee sometimes if you've been particularly stressed or gone thru other external changes that can affect your cycle. My friend missed three months worth of periods recently but not for any reason that she or her doctor could figure out!
