Has anyone had to take laxatives long term during pregnancy?

Hi, I'm 11 weeks pregnant and having to take laxatives daily (macrogol Brand names: Movicol, Laxido, CosmoCol, Molaxole) as prescribed by my doctor. I've been on them for the past 4 weeks now. I'm trying my best to get off of them however I cannot at the moment due to medical reasons. My question is has anyone else had to take this or similar medication long term?
I've been reassured it does not cross the blood barrier and therefore can't affect baby, however I'd still rather not be taking them especially long term like this and at such a vital stage in pregnancy.
I'm worried sick I may be causing damage and it would be reassuring to know others have had to take this or any other medication long term throughout pregnancy and baby has been OK.

Yes completely safe, these brands are the mildest form of laxatives called stool softeners and don't leave your gut.
I took all through first pregnancy and have a happy bouncing 2 year old.
I also took some every now and then between pregnancies and am back on them regularly now I am 22weeks with my second.
Constipation is much worse for you and your bowel/pelvic floor than taking these meds for sure.

Yes me! Been taking them as I suffered badly with piles in my first pregnancy and was advised by a colorectal surgeon then my midwife that they are completely safe.

I discussed this with my midwife this morning. I've been taking lactulose now for about 12 weeks (I'm 29 weeks) and she said absolutely fine to carry on as long as I need.
