Working in care

I've just found out I'm pregnant. We have been trying since the beginning of the year so very happy etc.

The only thing is my work. I'm due to start a new job next month which is a change of career for me and something I really want to do. We also really need the money to pay the bills.

The role is working as a support worker with children with learning disabilities. The hours are long but that isn't what's worrying me. I'm worried that when I tell my employer that I'm pregnant it will be a health and safety issue and then what do I do? I know that as part of the role we need to be trained in restraint but I'm assuming I wouldn't be able to do that.

Does anyone have any advice/experience?

Many thanks
