Progesterone and nausea

Is there a link between these? Or have I just been unlucky this time round with sickness?

I'm 17 weeks and still gagging at thin air most days, and by the evening I'm struggling to take the sickness tablets never mind eat dinner or anything. I can eat small meals during the day but sometimes even that can make me feel swishy. I've had suspected gallstones before and it feels very similar in terms of nausea, sick after meals but also have random bout of nausea thrown in as well and no pain.

Wondering if it's just going to be like this, sick and unbelievably tired, until the progesterone is finished.

@Foxtrotbeta thata a really interesting read - especially as most doctors tell you the sickness should pass by 12 weeks as the placenta takes over.

I had bad sickness in my first but it passed or had eased by this point. And my second was a walk in the park with barely anything sick wise. My third I had nausea but no sickness. So would make sense it's dependant on baby and not really anything mother produces herself.
