Platelets keep decreasing

I'm due to be induced in 3 days due to growth restriction of baby. I'm afraid my placenta is failing and it would be better for my baby to be out and to be able to feed with breast milk. However my platelet levels keep decreasing. 2 weeks ago they were 108 and today after testing they were 102. I don't know if I should delay the induction or have it done

Sorry you're having a stressful time. Can imagine it's a big worry for you. It sounds like you have the start of gestational thrombocytopenia where your platelets drop in response to pregnancy. They haven't fallen dramatically in 2 weeks which is a good sign! But it's very unlikely they'll get any better and usually just keep dropping until you give birth when they will start to improve again. So if it were me I wouldn't be delaying induction and allow them to get any lower.
Best of luck!

@remaininghopeful23 Thank you so much for your reply. I don't know much about platelets but I also had a feeling that I shouldn't delay the induction because from the looks of it my platelets just keep decreasing instead of going up and I don't want to wait and have them decrease much further. The doctor today was saying we may need to delay the induction until your platelet level is up. She isn't the one who scheduled my induction and I met her for the first time so I don't think she has much idea of my current situation and how an induction can save my baby's life.

Oh that does sound a little strange that the doctor would suggest delaying. To me it sounds like you have 2 very good reasons to proceed with induction - baby's growth and now your platelets. In my experience the platelets are not likely to improve with time only continue to decrease. I hope you can go ahead with your scheduled date and have a safe and healthy birth. Congratulations in advance!
