I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant & a primary school teacher. The exhaustion is another level, I sit on the sofa after work and I’m asleep within 15mins! I just feel constantly tired! Any tips to help with this or do I just succumb and rest up?

I’m a teacher and weeks 8, 9 and 10 of pregnancy were sooooooo tiring for me - for both pregnancies. Weeks 11 onwards were much much better. Sorry that doesn’t help clawing your way to the end of term, but at least you might perk up a bit in the holidays. Just do what you can to get through the next week or two.

@EddieVedderSingsToMe thankyou! I’m glad to hear there’s light at the end of the tunnel! 😂

Take time off if you need it! When my midwife said to me there is no way to overcome tiredness other than to sleep it changed my mindset. It’s so hard having time off from teaching but honestly nobody will prioritise you and baby other than yourself!

It will pass - maybe have your main meal at lunch to give you a boost and then a light dinner when you get in. Then go to sleep early. It will pass before you go back in September.
