Tis my third baby

Others were PMN*

I find myself reading pg and childbirth threads - and baby names threads

I'm becoming obsessed and thought I was waaay too cool for that malarkey

Oh well, at least I haven't joined an ante natal thread

so,so.
Can't wait to see what you put on your feet in pregnancy.

expatinscotland · 11/04/2008 21:59

My toenails are currently painted orange .

expatinscotland · 11/04/2008 21:59

When are you due? Are you keeping well, I hope?

How's the diabetes?

Oblomov · 11/04/2008 22:05

17/18 Nov. Diabetes fine. It the fucking discomfort thats killing me. Never had this with ds. Was too preoccupied with diabetes last time, to notice any pregnancy symptons.

LOL at orange. I wonder what grimmers we can look forward to , as we go through the summer. Do they make vile crocs for fat swollen stumpers like yours ?

expatinscotland · 11/04/2008 22:07

I already have 2 lovely pairs of Crocs, but it's been too cold and wet to wear them of yet.

I vomit too much to be fat.

Then I get acid reflux and live on cold water and TUC biscuits.

I wind up thinner than before I gave birth, especially because I'm off the sauce so am not consuming those empty calories.

NorthernLurker · 11/04/2008 22:25

expat - I always ended up lighter post baby too. Vomiting being the cause in my case as well. So lighter - but ermmmmmm wobblier, saggier type thing.

MamaG · 12/04/2008 15:11

Ob I'm due 1st November, but always go overdue so will prob be nearer 10th/11th - I'm sorry to tell you both that I have no nausea - just had about a week of feeling abit sickly - never got heartburn, swollen feet, etc with the other two so fingers crossed!

expatinscotland · 12/04/2008 15:13

I had both girls at 38 weeks, so here's hoping!

I'm still sick, but just nibbling lots often.

The heartburn's a killer, though.

Oooowwwwww.

expatinscotland · 12/04/2008 15:14

it does help keep the total weight gain down.

MamaG · 12/04/2008 15:21

Yes I can imgine - with DS I ate a bit too well! With DD (first) I was v health concious and ate loads of good stuff so managed to be 1/2 a stone lighter the day she was born, than I was the day I got pg! Am aiming for that again...gained 1lb so far and am 11weeks

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 12/04/2008 15:23

I think I've actually lost weight.

I just feel vomitous and have to force myself to eat.

Sipping water all day sort of helps.

But mostly it feels like food just ferments in my stomach and when I belch it tastes like old, stale beer and gross.

MamaG · 12/04/2008 15:25

oh how lovely for you! Just imagine yourself sashaying out of hospital in hipster jeans, while I struggle with a pair of size 18 joggingpants

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 12/04/2008 15:26

Bollocks to that! All I care about is being able to EAT with no barf or heartburn. And being able to breathe all the way down!

Oh, yes, I'm having champers and wine and a whole hot pizza from the chippy with pepperoni, and a huge crispy beef portion with noodles from the Chinese takeaway and a chicken madras with naan bread and a falafel with yoghurt sauce.

MamaG · 12/04/2008 15:28

hehe thats what I'm having for tea tonight

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 12/04/2008 15:30

i yearn for a falafel. but out here, i'm going to have to make it myself.

mmm. with that tasty cucumber sauce and lots of fresh chopped tomatoes.

and MB made me crave a hot pizza.

oooo, yes, there will be some feasting after this one is born.

Mama will come, bringing a case loaded with Nappa Valley reds .

I got 'Ready Steady Baby' again. I loved that line, 'Do not binge drink or get drunk.'

MamaG · 13/04/2008 13:17

VictorianSqualor · 13/04/2008 16:07

LOL MamaG, I remember the first time I held DS (DC2) thinking 'i don't remember DD being this fragile', only took me a day or two to get used to it and hold him in one arm whilst makng dinner though

LazyLinePainterJane · 13/04/2008 16:29
